Our Earth
Gracious God, we thank you
for the earth, our home as we journey through our human life. Its miracles are
too many to number, and its fragility too easy to dismiss. Help us honor and
revere its wonders so that we protect and care for it as we would both a child
—young and filled with possibility— and a beloved elder, graced with wisdom
gained through experience. Open our eyes to behold its unseen blessings, unstop
our ears to hear its pain, and fill our heart with love for all that it so
generously gives. We ask this for the sake of your love.
