Wallace: What
motivated you to write Reading the Bible Again for the
First Time?
Borg: Conflict over the Bible is the single most

Wallace: Share

the two primary relationships that are common to both Judaism and Christianity.
Borg: The Christian life is ultimately so simple,
not easy, but simple. The Christian life is not so much about believing
the right things, but rather about a relationship with God and loving
one's neighbor-- to love that which God loves. The Christian tradition
as a whole points to that kind of life and nourishes that kind of
life....
