The Rev. Dr. Andrew MacBeth

Andy MacBeth came to Calvary in February 2004. Prior to that he served churches in Florida, Ohio, Massachusetts, and—most recently—Eastern Shore Chapel, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He received a B.A. in English from Randolph-Macon College, Ashland, VA, his M.Div. from Episcopal Divinity School, Cambridge, MA, and his D.Min. from Virginia Theological Seminary, Alexandria, VA.

"The thing I love about the Episcopal Church," Andy says, "is that we have such strong, rich traditions to draw from--but we have always been clear that ours is not the only way to be a Christian. So we share with a wide variety of caring people in trying to make a difference for our neighbors."

Andy lives in Memphis with his wife, Sybil. They have two adult sons.
