An All-American lacrosse player, former Marine, and a "people's" priest in five Episcopal dioceses, Jim Lewis is an energetic voice for society's marginalized. His advocacy work among coal miners in West Virginia and poultry workers on the Delmarva Peninsula
has been chronicled for national television, most recently on
Mike Wallace's 60 Minutes. Lewis leads La Esperanza (a Latino
service center), Bible study in prisons, peace journeys to Central
America, Libya, etc. and writes extensively, including several
books and an Opinion Letter.
