East, Tokyo, and Japan. He is a popular leader of numerous preaching missions, including Memphis churches. A community and social action leader, Dr. Lawson organized the United Way's Houston Homeless Initiative and established a service agency to serve needs in the inner city. He is a recipient of the Silver
Beaver Award in support of Scouting.
