The Rev. Canon Stephen Holmgren, D. Phil.

Stephen Holmgren is Rector of Grace Church in St. Francisville, Louisiana, and also serves as Canon Theologian for the Diocese of Louisiana. Prior to moving to Louisiana in 2000, he was canonically resident in the Diocese of West Tennessee for 17 years, having previously served as Curate at Calvary Church in Memphis and Rector of Grace Church in Paris. While still a priest of the Diocese of West Tennessee he pursued a doctorate in moral theology at Oxford University in England and served for eight years as a professor of ethics and moral theology at Nashotah House seminary. Author of Ethics After Easter in the New Church's Teaching Series, he continues to write, and to teach and speak at forums in parishes and dioceses around the country.
