The
Rev. Mark Beckwith Following his graduation from Amherst College cum laude in 1973, Mark Beckwith spent two years teaching English in Japan. He attended Berkeley Divinity School at Yale and has been an Episcopal priest since 1980. Much of his ministry has been in the urban setting; and he has been involved in setting up various homeless ministries, soup kitchens and agencies to promote affordable housing. He is a CREDO faculty member, a an education and assessment program for Episcopal clergy. He is the author of two articles published by the Episcopal Network for Stewardship (TENS): "From Scarcity to Abundance" and "From Lust to Repentance: the Challenge of the Prodigal Son". Since 1993 Mark has served as Rector of All Saints Church in Worcester, Massachusetts, a racially and socio-economically diverse urban parish. He is married to Marilyn Olson and is the parent of two college-age children, Christine and Paul. He is a serious, if not diseased, Boston Red Sox fan. |
